The Royal British Legion Cheshire and Merseyside branch is holding a Combatting Social Isolation Day next month at Liverpool’s Adelphi Hotel.
On 15 October from 10am-1pm (registration from 9.30am), professionals working with veterans as well as veterans themselves can come along and:
- Learn more about social isolation – its possible causes and impact
- Get updates on schemes and initiatives run by the Legion and other providers
- Network and share good practice
- Find out more about crisis grants and other welfare provision.
Then from 1-3pm there will be an afternoon social, with entertainment, a dance, bingo and a raffle. Tea and coffee provided
