Join the Royal British Legion (RBL) for a glittering Gala Ball on Saturday 2 November.
Raising funds for this year’s Poppy Appeal, the Ball will see guests enjoying a three-course meal, wine with dinner, a welcome drink and entertainment. The event starts at 6pm.
Every year, the Poppy Appeal raises vital funds to support the Armed Forces community whenever they need support. In 2024, the appeal will highlight the mental scars linked to military service.
Roy Gladden, County President for the RBL in Merseyside and West Lancashire, said: “The ball is a great opportunity for the people of Merseyside to thank our Armed Forces community.
“All the money raised will be donated to the Poppy Appeal to help and sustain those personnel and their families who need the support they so willingly gave to us.”
He added: “Due to the unique challenges of military life, including serving in conflict, repeated relocations, and long spells away from friends and family, the mental health and wellbeing needs of the Armed Forces community are varied and complex. Some experiences will leave mental scars that affect people throughout their lives.
The RBL has secured generous sponsorship for the Gala Ball from Liverpool City Council, Peel Ports and Cammel Laird. Other sponsors include Liverpool BID, Liverpool City Region, Forshaw Group, Kays Pharmaceuticals, and D’Vine Catering.
Tickets are £100, or £75 for serving or former members of the Armed Forces community, including RBL members.
