Armed Forces service leavers, reservists and their families are invited to the Merseyside Employment Initiative in September.
Supported by the 156 Regiment RLC and Liverpool City Council, the event is an opportunity for anyone seeking employment to speak to a whole range of companies and organisations which have all been awarded the Armed Forces Covenant. Many of the employers offer guaranteed interview and work placement schemes.
Some of the employers who will be in attendance are: Maersk, Peel Ports, United Utilities, Carroll Build, the College for Military Veterans and Emergency Services, and Novus.
X Forces will be available with advice for anyone who is interested in becoming self-employed and there will also be CV and interview skills workshops.
Armed Forces champions from across Merseyside will be discussing re-settlement issues and representatives from local authorities will be on hand to give advice about housing, education and welfare.
The event is free to attend and is taking place at Everton Football Club, Goodison Road, L4 4EL, on Monday 11 September. Doors are open from 10am-5pm.
