A Wirral-based youth centre has launched a new programme of events for both veteran and current Armed Forces families.
The Hive, in Birkenhead town centre, has secured government funding to set up up the Force for Good project which aims to help military families forge social links.
The first event is on Saturday 17 February from 2.15–4pm. Families from across Merseyside are welcome to attend if they have children aged from eight to 19 years (or 25 years if the child has additional needs). Come along to see the centre and to take part in fun activities.
All children attending will get a free membership to The Hive.
Further events will take place throughout 2018 as follows:
- 30 March – 11.30am-3pm
- 7 May – 11.30am-3pm
- 16 June – 2.15pm -4pm
- 14 July – 2.15pm – 4pm
- 27 August – 10.30am -3.30pm
- 22 September – 2.15-4pm
- 13 October – 2.15-4pm
- 15 December – 2.15-4pm
