Professor Robin Simpson will be giving a talk on “The Veteran and the GP” at the University of Chester on 11 April.
The event is hosted by the Historical Society and the Westminster Centre for Research and Innovation into Veterans’ Wellbeing.
Prof Simpson, the Dean of the Defence Medical Services and professor of military primary healthcare and veterans’ health at the University of Chester, and joined the Army in 1984 and served in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
The talk will cover Prof Simpson’s research into GPs’ knowledge of veterans’ health issues and how to provide guidance and support.
